Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about living at Coliva

Every Coliva house is pet-friendly by default and cats are welcome at all of them. Most houses take dogs, but not all: the Meadow House at Springleaf currently does not. Tell us about your pet on enquiry and we will match you to the right room and house. Microchipping and dog licensing are required where applicable.
Tell us about your pet on enquiry. Pet types and sizes are guided per house and we will match you to a suitable room.
Not every individual room is suited to a pet (some master rooms are reserved for residents without pets so the household balance works), but every Coliva house has dedicated pet-friendly rooms. We will recommend the right room for you on enquiry.
A security deposit equivalent to one month's rent is required at signing, refunded at end of tenancy minus any damages beyond fair wear and tear. Residents with a dog also pay a pet deposit and a one-time cleaning fee, set out in the next answer.
For dogs, yes. A S$150 pet deposit per dog, refundable at end of tenancy on the same terms as the security deposit, plus a one-time S$150 cleaning fee charged once per tenancy rather than per dog. Cats have no pet deposit and no cleaning fee. Both dog charges sit on top of the standard one-month security deposit. Full detail on the pet policy page.
Most rooms are leased on 6-month or 12-month terms. A 3-month stay can be discussed for some rooms when the calendar allows. Longer stays often qualify for a discount on the listed monthly rate.
Wi-Fi, air conditioning, utilities, bi-weekly common-area cleaning, fully furnished bedroom (bed, wardrobe, desk) and access to all shared spaces. There are no hidden setup fees, broker fees or furniture costs to plan around.
Most of our homes sit in residential neighbourhoods rather than directly on top of an MRT line. That is part of why they suit pets and quieter living. The houses are a short bus ride or quick commute to Beauty World, Springleaf or Jalan Besar MRT, and from those stations the CBD is under 25 minutes.
Our residents are mostly working professionals and grad students aged 22-40, a mix of locals and expats. Many bring a dog or cat. Every applicant goes through a short call so the house mix stays comfortable for the existing residents and their pets.
Yes. Early termination is possible with two months' notice or by finding a replacement tenant we approve. We understand jobs and visas change; the process is designed to be reasonable rather than punitive.
